We believe optimism & preparation gets us through the hottest challenges
We're asking ourselves what it looks like to adapt to a warmer climate, and not just surrender to it.
We've designed hot-weather adventure apparel, built on an ethos of optimism and pursuing hard things. We're dedicated to making warmer temperatures more manageable through greater breathability & UV protection, while emphasizing that gear cannot replace sound judgment.
Because life is not meant to be stuck indoors.

The Story of Our Founding Mission
Our story begins in May 2023, in a hollowed-out Airstream trailer near Big Bend National Park. No electricity, no wifi, no plumbing - just our founder and his thoughts. An experienced adventurer and Eagle Scout, he had traversed all 7 continents and was on a quest to visit all 63 national parks.

He considered the broader implications of climate change. What would life in a warmer world look like? Living entirely indoors wasn't the answer. Instead, he pondered how people might evolve with climate change, rather than just fighting against it.

As a park enthusiast, he envisioned what safe adventure in a warmer world could mean. This led to a realization: there was a need for gear focused on keeping people comfortable and safe in the heat. Many brands made polar exploration possible – what would the opposite look like?

Several months later, he and one of his best friends pursued the idea, naming the company after Terlingua, TX, where that transformative night sparked it all.
Our Commitments
Quality Material
We want our gear to improve with age, like quality leather boots. This philosophy drives our choice of hemp & tencel - a material that grows more comfortable with wear while using less water than cotton (we are, after all, a desert brand).
Sustainable Production
Each piece is hand-crafted and inspected by our craftswomen in Portugal, maintaining an ethical, sustainable supply chain that benefits everyone - especially you, our customers. Transparency is easier, and frankly it helps us with our margins.
Investment in The Future
Our founding team is dedicating 1% of net proceeds to US National Parks preservation and another 1% to STEM education in Imperial Valley K-6 charter schools. We don't believe in greenwashing. We're just grateful for our parks & for our teachers.
